Gift Guide: Our Founder’s Thoughts

Christmas is just around the corner and with it, a last-minute flurry of present shopping. In search of inspiration, we caught up with our Founder, Danielle Windsor, to find out what’s on her wish list this year.

Kelly Wearstler’s book ‘Evocative Style’

As a fellow business owner, interior designer Kelly Wearstler has always been an inspiration to me. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on her latest coffee-table book ‘Evocative Style’ for a while now. I love her eclectic mix of textures, colours, and shapes – a multi-sensory aesthetic.

A RIMOWA carry case

I frequently travel for work, so a sturdy, practical (and of course aesthetic) suitcase is a must-have for me. RIMOWA’s luggage ticks all the boxes, plus they have a lifetime guarantee. To reduce my carbon footprint, I’ve been opting for the Eurostar and trains over flights, and a compact RIMOWA case would be a great travel companion.

Maison Margiela denim

It’s the unique and often unexpected details that make Margiela’s denim so special. Think cut-outs at the waistbands or precise slashes at the thigh, these deconstructed details are iconic to the French house. A pair of Margiela jeans and a crisp Yaitte shirt is always a winning outfit in my eyes, so I’m hoping to add to my denim collection this year.

KHAITE’s Davis boots

Anyone who knows me knows I love a heeled boot. It makes me feel elegant, powerful and put-together. Khaite’s Davis boots are shaped to a streamlined, square-toed silhouette that will slot perfectly under jeans. The python-embossed pair is my favourite – they’re simultaneously timeless and modern.

Phoebe Philo’s ‘Mum’ necklace

Being a mum is one of my proudest achievements, I feel so fortunate to have my two gorgeous kids, so I love the idea of putting this front and centre with Phoebe Philo’s ‘Mum’ necklace. It’s crafted from chunky sterling silver and a coveted piece from Philo’s iconic first drop, so what’s not to love?

A Bottega bag

Renowned for their signature intrecciato weaving technique, Bottega represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship to me. Their bags are works of art. I’m always on the move so I’m after a bag that can fit my laptop, a notebook, a few snacks for the kids. Polished and practical, Bottega more than fits the bill.

EQUI London collagen powder

I must admit, I’ve been overdoing things a bit recently. The mum juggle is real! My hair, skin and nails were suffering as a result so, last month, I started taking Equi’s collagen supplement. I do think I’m seeing the benefits already, so I’m going to make sure to keep it up.

The YAITTE classic white Puglia shirt

It wouldn’t be a wish list without a Yaitte piece on there. As the name suggests, the Puglia shirt really is a classic. It’s cut from crisp, BCI-certified cotton poplin that’s sourced from Italy. Complete with elongated cuffs, the boyfriend fit looks sleek with denim, tailored trousers, shorts (you get the picture).

Monthly donation to Oceana

I’m going to kick-start the New Year on a positive note by pledging a monthly donation to Oceana, an organisation dedicated to protecting and restoring the world’s oceans. Sustainability is a core pillar for Yaitte, and caring for our oceans is crucial to fighting the effects of climate change.
